What is your favorite coffee contraption??

Spread the love

coffee This topic is very near and dear to my heart. My morning cup of coffee is something I think of all day- before I have it and also long after I have savored it. I use a stove top espresso maker which I discovered in Europe. I was visiting my aunt and discovered she didn’t have an electric coffee maker so I made my coffee in the espresso maker and realized that it made a fabulous cup ! Years later I found it in NYC and haven’t gone back since… I like my coffee extremely hot and I can get that from this contraption. Even the milk gets warmed and mixed with the freshly brewed coffee in the top compartment. I then pour my coffee into an insulated hand blown 10 oz cup that I absolutely love. I now travel with it where ever I go, I even take my ground coffee. I know it sounds a little nutty but you can’t diminish the satisfaction of a superbly brewed cup of coffee.
I would love to know what you use to make your morning cup of coffee and why you love it so much!

In college, one of my friends visited Hawaii and brought me back some Chocolate Macadamia Nut flavored coffee from the Lion Coffee Company (located in Hawaii). My roommate also used an espresso maker, and the result was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve been hooked ever since, and now order most of my Lion coffee from http://www.hicoffeeco.com. Most of the coffee here is 100% Hawaiian Kona Coffee or Kona blends – the Liongold 100% Kona and the Chocolate Macadamia Nut are still my favorites.

The chocolate macadamia nut coffee sounds heavenly!!! I drink an organic hazelnut that has hints of vanilla bean.. writing about it makes me want to have it right now!!
What would we do without the perfect cup of morning coffee?

I love my morning coffee. I buy Newmann’s organic French roast. I like a sturdy cup! But I also like to smell it while I’m waking up. It’s one thing that gets me out of the bed. So I use a small drip coffeemaker that I can program the night before. Maybe not the best way to brew coffee, but I go for the tradeoff of having it get me out of bed.

I love the smell as well, Kathleen. I get mine from Deans Beans- delicious coffee. I don’t indulge until I have dropped my daughter off to school. I like to savor my coffee in peace and quiet… enjoy!
