Turkey and Cremini Mushroom Cheeseburgers
This by far is the best turkey burger I have made and if I do say so- eaten as well. The patties were tender, juicy and delicious. The secret ingredient- are the cremini mushrooms. I processed them and added them to the ground turkey. I also added basil and garlic- thats it. It is very simple, yet it is amazingly scrumptious.
Try these burgers and give them to your kids- they won’t know you have mushrooms in them…
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup Cremini mushrooms, sliced and cleaned
- ½ cup basil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 teaspoons salt
Process the mushrooms in a food processor till they are chopped fine. Transfer to a medium bowl. Process the basil and garlic in the same food processor till chopped fine. Add to the same bowl. Add the turkey, egg and salt. Mix well, careful not to over mix. Marinate for 2 to 3 hours. Form into 4 to 6 patties.
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 to 6 ciabatta rolls, toasted
Grill the burgers till done. Add shredded cheese on top and serve.
